Join Dr. David Horton as he debuts his late wife DeeDee's novel Layer Upon Layer, followed by a conversation on women's empowerment in athletics and society.
Former Boston Globe Sports Editor Joe Sullivan will moderate a panel discussion featuring distinguished voices in athletics: Renee Schultz, Senior Associate Athletic Director at Belmont University; Dr. Mary Ellen Pethel, sports historian; and Teresa Walker, sports journalist for the Associated Press. Together, they'll discuss the book's themes, their own experiences in athletics, and examine the crucial steps needed to create lasting change for women in our society.
This event is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase via credit or debit card.
Join us to be part of this meaningful evening as we honor DeeDee's legacy and vision for a more equitable future in athletics and beyond, one layer at a time.
